With that said, we feel that it is imperative that we demonstrate for you the best, optimal, and—most imporatantly—the safest ways to use our product.

While we are proud and confident of our product quality, we also recognize that—without proper guidance—an otherwise delightful experience can turn concerning fairly quickly.

Please keep in mind the following information as you continue to use our product.

Hazards to avoid

While we stand by the quality of our product, we recognize that—like any infant product—ours can also turn harmful under the wrong context. Please keep in mind the below details to ensure that utilizing your product stays safe.

Suffocation hazard

Do not use the product for sleep

When your child falls asleep in our product, they run the risk of rolling into the sides of the lounger nest and possibly suffocating—a known hazard called Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDS.

Because of the relative helplessness of your child, should they find themselves trapped within the cushions, the possibilities could be dire.

As such, never let your child fall asleep in the product. As soon as you notice your child sleeping, remove them immediately and place them in a safe sleep environment, such as a crib, bassinet, or any other flat surface.

Fall hazard

Do not place the product on high surfaces

Due to the overall material of the product being made of cotton and polyester, they cannot and should not be used as a substitute for a stable surface. As such, placing your child in the lounger as it lays on a high surface—such as a table—runs the risk of your child rolling over and dragging the product as they fall off the edges.

As such, the product should only be used on a flat, firm, and stable surface. We recommend only using the product on the floor, or if necessary, any flat surface that has ample room surrounding the product.

Suffocation hazard

Do not place the product inside enclosures

Safe usage of the product relies heavily on supervision. As such, putting any obstacles between yourself and your child especially as they're using the lounger places an unnecessary risk and burden on the safety of your newborn.

Similar to the hazards of your child sleeping in the lounger nest, placing your child in the product as it sits inside an enclosure makes it much more difficult to reach them should they fall into the unfortunate circumstance of getting stuck or trapped against the cushions of the product.

When using the product, ensure that you are within accessible reach of your child at all times.

Fall hazard

Do not carry the product with your newborn inside

Though the product itself comes with a fabric handle, the product is not designed to support the weight your child in any other context except on the floor or any flat, firm, stable surface. Never carry the lounger with your newborn inside. Doing so exposes your child to the unnecessary risk of falling and causing irreparable harm against their person due to any unfortunate, consequential trauma.

Please prioritize the practical safety of your newborn at all times while using the product.

Prioritize attention & stimulation

Ultimately, the best way to ensure that you always have a positive experience while using the newborn lounger nest is by prioritizing your child's attention and stimulation at all times when they are laying inside.

Keep in mind! A general rule-of-thumb while your child is in the product is to constantly maintain some level of eye contact off-and-on with your child. This way, you will always know that your child is constantly awake and in a safe position while utilizing the lounger.

General safety checklist

A handy, easy-to-remember list to always and readily have on hand whenever you need a quick tip on general product safety.

Our product is intended for supervised lounging, play, or tummy time only, so it's crucial to be present, nearby, and in the same room as your child when they're using the lounger.

Direct supervision is constantly required. Your newborn can roll, crawl, or otherwise shift around unexpectedly.

Make sure especially sure not to place the product within an enclosed space—like a bassinet or crib—as it makes it further challenging to reach your newborn in the event that they are constrained.

Never use the product on a high surface, such as a dining table, as they may fall and become severely injured.

Doing so would run the risk of your child caught or trapped in a position that could quickly reduce breathing and lead to suffocation.

The product is comprised of non-toxic, chemical-free materials that also avoids flame retardants. As such, the materials are susceptible to any sort of fire hazards or electrocution that cotton-based products would.

Aside from swaddles or the pre-packaged pillow, additional blankets, pillows, or other layers or stuffings run the risk of crowding the product that could lead to suffocation.

Doing so runs the risk of your child falling and causing irreparable harm against their person due to any unfortunate, consequential trauma.

Any exposed stuffing or loose threads from the fabric can get caught against the nose or mouth of your child that could lead to suffocation.
